Have you got green fingers or interested in giving Harlow Town Park a facelift?

For further details please speak to the Education & Volunteer Officer, Mike Levett on 01279 446834 or email - we look forward to hearing from you.

vol pic The Town Park now has two volunteer groups who  undertake gardening or horticultural work at the Town Park.

Sites worked on include the Walled Garden, Sensory Garden and Water Garden and work has included cutting back ivy from trees, walls and fences, removing vegetation elsewhere, constructing compost bins and clearing ponds.

No previous experience required- just some interest in working outdoors and enthusiasm is required. Volunteering can help those who are looking to work outdoors or a career in horticulture or nature conservation.

We can provide tools, equipment and training and can pay any travel expenses (if required, in certain circumstances). Come and discover some of the parks secrets such as the Walled Garden and help restore the park to its former glory!

For weekday volunteering, tasks are held every Thursday of every month from 10am-2pm.

For weekend volunteering there is a task, usualy the first Saturday of the month from 1-3pm - please contact Mike Levett, Education & Volunteer officer on 01279 446834 or for details of either tasks.
