Science Alive

The Time Machine: A day to remember…

Visit the Time Machine - our amazing hands-on gallery for Science and Technology with over 50 amazing exhibits to play with and enjoy.

We also have great exhibitions with links to history and inventions which change every few months.

A Walk Through Time

This special exhibition consists of a curious collection from Harlow Museum, bringing back a mixture of memories of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

Real nostalgia from the 20th Century - all those years ago!  You might even spot your Uncle John in the dance competition…

Curious Cycles

In the main Living Room exhibition gallery you'll find some of the famous Collins Cycle Collection, ranging from the classic Penny Farthing through early racing cycles and paratrooper bikes - to the ill fated but totally brilliant  Triumph steering wheel bicycle.

Lots to do: big smells and bad bangs (or the other way round!)

We have regular workshops and show with bangs, explosions and seriously smelly effects.

See What's On for further details or give us a call as the programme is changing all the time.

Easy to get to and we guarantee you'll have a great time!

You'll find us at the amazing Leisurezone with lots for families to do all day long - swimming pool, tennis courts, squash, gymnasium and much more besides!

We can offer free Parking right outside; our next door neighbour is Churchill's - a great family cafe with a wide choice of drinks and snacks to enjoy.

Inside our gallery, we have a great little souvenir shop where you can take home a bit of real Science to try out later on.

And… we have really friendly staff who will look after you and make sure you have a great time!
